Homemade Sour Cream 2 Ingredient

Making sour cream with only 2 or 3 ingredients
Prep Time 15 minutes
Cook Time 12 hours

Ingredients
  

  • 1/4 cup plain greek yogurt
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice optional
  • 3-4 cups half and half or sub heavy whipping cream

Instructions
 

  • first combine all ingredients into a mason jar
  • shake jar for 30 seconds to 1 min
  • add jar into dehydrator on yogurt setting for 12-24 hours or if using an oven set oven to 200 degrees F and turn off. Place jars in oven and turn on oven light. This will allow the jars enough heat to ferment. Leave in oven over night, then place in fridge.
  • Allow to set in the fridge for 24 hours after fermentation
  • stir and ENJOY
  • will stay fresh for 2 months in refrigerator
