Meal In A Jar

I LOVE me a good chicken pot pie! It’s one my kiddos love too. Usually, we make ours with left over chicken and frozen veggies, but I’ve been obsessed with shelf stable meals. I see lots of recipes for meals in a jar scattered all over the internet, but never have I seen a shelf stable chicken pot pie! This got me wondering how I could transform meals my family love into shelf stable ones that I can grab at any time. I decided to go to the drawing board and start hashing out all the details of getting the consistency JUST right.

With a few not so perfect but still edible chicken pot pies, I nailed the creamy consistency I was looking for while using all shelf stable ingredients. I believe anyone would be thrilled to receive this as a holiday gift vs the same old “taco soup” in a jar we’ve ALL seen. Give this one a try and let me know below in the comments what you thought!

This recipe pairs wonderfully with my Shelf Stable Pie Crust.
