We eat a ton of sour cream here. From dips, to topping, a small tub of sour cream from the store does not last long in our household. Today I share my homemade sour cream recipe that can be done using only 2 ingredients and with your oven!


Homemade Sour Cream 2 Ingredient
Making sour cream with only 2 or 3 ingredients
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup plain greek yogurt
- 1 tbsp lemon juice optional
- 3-4 cups half and half or sub heavy whipping cream
Instructions
- first combine all ingredients into a mason jar
- shake jar for 30 seconds to 1 min
- add jar into dehydrator on yogurt setting for 12-24 hours or if using an oven set oven to 200 degrees F and turn off. Place jars in oven and turn on oven light. This will allow the jars enough heat to ferment. Leave in oven over night, then place in fridge.
- Allow to set in the fridge for 24 hours after fermentation
- stir and ENJOY
- will stay fresh for 2 months in refrigerator
